Jennifer J. Hauler, D.O., M.B.A., is the Chief Operating Officer at Houston Methodist Hospital. She practiced clinically for 12 years in family medicine and emergency medicine before transitioning to hospital administration, holding site, regional, and system Chief Medical Officer roles at Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio — where she had system-wide responsibility for the hospitalist division, telehealth, value strategy, and the Emergency & Trauma service line — and later serving as Chief Operating Officer of Miami Valley Hospital, Premier Health’s flagship facility, for over three years. She also served as Chief Medical Officer for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia.

A passionate advocate for the osteopathic profession, Dr. Hauler is a past president of both the Dayton District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine and the Ohio Osteopathic Association, and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (where she served on the Ohio Chapter Board of Governors) and the American College of Emergency Physicians. She currently serves as a Trustee of the American Osteopathic Association and contributes to several of its committees and workgroups.

Dr. Hauler is board certified in family medicine and emergency medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary and her medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing her internship and residency at Kettering Health Dayton (formerly Grandview Medical Center). She holds an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Hauler enjoys traveling, boating, skiing, and reading, and spending time with family and friends.
