What are the WIH Awards?
The WIH Awards are an opportunity for us to lift each other up and to showcase our community of strong women. Offered annually, the Women in Healthcare Awards Luncheon is held at our National LeadHERship Summit. Each award is given to one woman or company in each category.
When to Apply
Award submissions are now closed.
All applicants will be notified about the status of their applications by email prior to the Summit awards ceremony.
Application Process
Review the Awards categories below carefully to fully understand the qualifiers of each.
Complete the corresponding online application for the award you are interested in or nominating.
The Women in Healthcare Advisory board will judge applicants on predetermined criteria. Each application will be reviewed blindly and ranked by the selection committee based on these qualifiers. It is important to the Women in Healthcare community that these awards are scored in a way that eliminates bias and promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Awards Categories
Rising Star
The Rising Star Award recognizes a woman in the industry who embodies the values of WIH with less than 10 years’ experience in the industry. Membership in WIH is not a requirement to win.
Who is eligible?
- Less than 10 years’ experience
- Demonstrates leadership
- Respect within and outside of the organization
- Demonstrates capacity as a future leader
Outstanding Leader
The Outstanding Leader Award recognizes a woman in the industry who embodies the values of WIH, by not only being a professional success but also as someone who has paved the road for those coming up behind her. Over 10 years in the industry. Membership in WIH is not a requirement to win.
Who is eligible?
- 10 year plus experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Respected (by all levels)
- Committed to personal growth
Making A Difference
The Making A Difference Award recognizes a company who is making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents and dedication. The honoree selected should serve as a role model to other organizations for compassion and service and be striving to make the world a better place.
Who is eligible?
- Companies connected to the healthcare industry, either as healthcare organizations, vendors, or nonprofits, who have at least one member in Women in Healthcare, who are spending resources on bettering their communities in which they live and work.
Organization Award
The Organization Award recognizes an organization for an initiative, program, or other support they have implemented that align with the mission of WIH. Membership in WIH is not a requirement to win.
Who is eligible?
- Companies connected to the healthcare industry, either as healthcare organizations, vendors, or nonprofits, who have at least one member in Women in Healthcare, who are spending resources on bettering their communities in which they live and work.
Chapter Award
The Chapter Award is designed to recognize a WIH chapter who has successfully made an impact on their members, industry, and community.
Who is eligible?
- This award is open to any full chapter of Women In Healthcare
