Karen has served the Bon Secours St. Francis Health System for 41 years in various leadership and executive leadership roles. She is currently the Vice President of Operations. In this role, Karen is responsible for providing senior leadership and operational & strategic direction for Lab, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation and Oncology Service Lines for the Greenville Market. She is active with leadership development in her market, supporting two leadership education programs.
Professionally, she is a graduate of Leadership Greenville – Class 30 and Ministry Leadership Formation – BSHSI Institute/Notre Dame University. In 2011, Karen completed a Post Graduate Program Sustainability from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
She is an active member of the American College of Health Care Executives with Fellow status, holding leadership roles for the State organization. She is currently serving as the Regent for South Carolina.
She is a Juran Six Sigma – Black Belt and holds a Green Belt in LEAN. Karen is active in the Greenville community and currently serves as an officer of the Board for Live Well Greenville and a member the Humane Society Board of Directors in Greenville. She is the past member of the United Way Palmetto Society Board and Chair of the Women in Healthcare for the United Way.
Personally, she has two grown sons and four beautiful grandchildren all of whom live in Greenville.
