Ana Pinto-Alexander has more than 38 years of experience designing interiors for the country’s most progressive facilities. Her childhood in Colombia, South America, combined with extensive international travel has influenced her unique design perspective.
Ana’s extensive research has anchored her belief that the environments we live, work and play in greatly reflects and affects who we are as individuals. Although known most prevalently for her work in healthcare interiors, she also extends her passion for meaningful interior design to educational facilities.
Ana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Purdue University. Ana has guest lectured at the University and continues to mentor students interested in the design profession. She is a board member of the International Design Association (IIDA) and holds a certificate from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification.
Ana has juried Healthcare Design magazine’s Architectural Showcase and Contract magazine’s Healthcare Environment Awards. She has spoken nationally and internationally on the importance the built environment has in the way we live our lives. The recipient of numerous awards, including the 2013 “Legends IN Design”, she has also been featured in several national publications, including a cover story for Interiors and Sources.
In 2014 she received the Distinguish Alumni Award from Purdue University. In 2015 She was one of 25 most influential People in healthcare according to Healthcare Design.
Ana’s Interior Design firm of 22 employees Maregatti Interiors was acquired by HKS, INC in 2011.
Ana serves as board member of Mosaic Family services in Dallas.
Community service remains an integral component in Ana’s mission to improve the world we live in. Ana continually encourages and engages with designers volunteering time on not-for-profit projects serving the community including: The Legacy Cottage and Designs for Dignity.
